He explains about the project:

For three years I traveled around the country exploring food issues. The more time I spent speaking and listening to individual stories, the more I began to think about the foods we consume and the effects they have on us as individuals and communities.

An intense curiosity and questions about stewardship led me to begin to make these unconventional portraits. A refrigerator is both a private and a shared space. One person likened the question, “May I photograph the interior of your fridge?” to asking someone to pose nude for the camera.

Each fridge is photographed “as is”. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

These are portraits of the rich and the poor. Vegetarians, Republicans, members of the NRA, those left out, the under appreciated, former soldiers in Hitler’s SS, dreamers, and so much more. We never know the full story of one’s life.

Photographer Jamie Beck and a motion graphics designer artist Kevin Burg have created a new way of capturing images – pictures with movement, so-called cinemagraphs. They describe it as: “Something more than a photo, but less than a video”.

Wonderful work by the Chinese photographer Di Liu. His work deals with conflicting relationships between nature and human society, generated by the rate of chinese urban development.

Days With My Father is a touching photo essay project  created by the amazing photograher  Phil Toledano. This touching compilation of photos taken after the death of Toledano’s mother,  gives an intimate look at the father-son relationship,  simple and powerfull story.

In ‘pause’, the work depicts the juxtaposition of powerful machines which are symbols of advancement and technology against nature which is widely accepted as precious and untouched. The medium of photography provides a visual dichotomy of reality and illusion through the aesthetics of plane and tree and their spatial relationship. Planes behind trees as individual objects are familiar and common, but when combined and interrelated, the viewer moves to a new space to behold the unexpected.

Hope & Fear is photographic project by Mr. Toledano, it is the external manifestation of internal desires and paranoia that are adrift in contemporary American society. What are we afraid of? What do we love? How does our society function, and what does it worship?

“What do you want to do before you die?” is a project that uses Polaroid photos to capture individual’s responses to the question “what do you want to do before you die?”

This project initiates a dialog and analysis around the awareness of mortality, values, motivation to act on personal objectives – and how these may differ across societies and cultures.
